The downtown bath lighting is truly beautiful. It's a sturdy and heavy piece. My only reason for a 4 star and not 5 star review was that although the picture on line and a product card on the box showed a downward install, the instructions were for an upward install. I had an electrician install the fixture, and he assured me it would not be a problem to install it in a downward configuration.
Also, one of the bulbs that come with the fixture was already burnt out from the start. I know that the bulbs are not guaranteed, but you'd think if they are supplied with the fixture, they should at least for a little while. I had no problem finding replacement at the store. Keep in mind that the bulb supplied with the fixture says its a 110v 50w halogen. The stores usually have 120v 50w as standard (and this is what is available as a companion purchase on Lighting Universe.com)...my electrician, as well as the lighting universe support team, assured me that using the 120v is fine, as long as it is the 50w halogen with a G9 bi-pin base.
